Latest review from John in the USA....

By David England, Oct 18 2016 12:34PM

I appreciated the ‘Easter Eggs’ of the names: “Nestor” as the wise king from the Greek myths of Herakles; “Peter” as in _petros_, Greek for “rock”, the two-way pun of “Roc” for a gaint bird (as in Sinbad) made of granite. Having been to Scilly, I liked the ties to the actual land; I kept thinking “I”ve been there!”. And of course I knew about both the mythical Lyonesse and the actual glaciation which would have meant a larger Scilly (but ten thousand years ago, not three).

Anyway, I enjoyed the book and am glad I went the extra few clicks to order it. Thanks!
